I’m new to all this and just getting started and looking to buy my first road bike to complement my running training. I saw this Canyon Endurance on FBM listed for 1200€ and was thinking would this be a good deal or no? It has Shimano 105 groupset, new chain and cassette and has been maintained well.

I was also thinking would this be too small for me since I’m 178cm with 83cm inseam and this is size S which according to canyon is for riders up to 177cm🤔

Thanks in advance for any possible help🙏🏼

For 1200 you can get a new cube or for like 800 a triban that’s good and new. If you’re new to cycling I’d honestly go for a triban. They’re really good nowadays for price/value. The cube attain pro or nuroad is also like 900. Very decent new bikes that you have a warranty on if something happens.

This is an 8 year old bike. That’s always a gamble unless the paperwork is there when headset, bearing and stuff are serviced. Those things you can’t really see when you’re gonna buy it.

Also I was thinking about offering him 1000€ for this one to see if he’d be willing to come down a little bit on that price

Not really since it’s all alloy and almost 2 gen old 105, I assume it’s going to be pretty heavy.
