I would say that’s pretty good. Components look good and it’s $500 cheaper that anywhere else

Aggressor front and dissector rear is an odd choice. I’d personally put dissector front. But those are two of my favorite tires, especially the dissector. It is fast, light and corners very well for its knob size. The sram g2’s are solid brakes, lower end group set but not a bad one. Ive always preffered 27.5 to 29 and this looks like a pretty solid deal although I’ve never riden this specific bike myself.

We have a new rift zone XR with much better components at our shop for 2700. This bike is listed about $1000 over its value.

unless it’s a niche desirable bike, the going rate for like new used bikes is 50% of MSRP. Sucks for the seller but that’s what it is.
Suspension MTB in particular are super weird. The maintenance prices on suspension components (and to a lesser extent hydraulic brakes) is so fucking high it’s often cheaper to buy a new bike at MSRP than buy a used one that needs a single service.

not worth it IMO, I’m selling a 11k msrp trek slash 2021 for 3k CAD – carbon frame, wheelset, all too end parts, new bearings everywhere.
That bike itself is not too bad, but it kinda sucks too. The owner is stuck with it, will you?

Too much for a used one. If something was installed poorly (or there was something else that should’ve been replaced) you won’t know until it’s too late and won’t be able to return it regardless.
If you plan to spend that kind of money you’re better off going with a newer bike

It’s a good bike but with 2 seasons on it, not the $500 savings. Offer $1500 and move on. $2k can get you lots of better options.

As a multi hardtail Marin owner/ rider and brand lover myself, the RZ is definitely a fun bike. However, this is priced at almost msrp. It’s overpriced by $750 at minimum. They’re trying to get what they’ve put into the upgraded suspension, wheels etc., but that’s just not how the used market works. A new one with lower spec wheels, suspension and fork went for $2239 1-2 years ago. I recently saw the same bike go for $850 local to me, after the guy had it posted for 6 months at $1500.

It’s a little higher as a used bike but not by much if you _really like it_. The _correct_ price is subjective, so you could wait and hunt some more elsewhere in the meantime. If you plan to mod the bike parts then wait since the current owner doesn’t seem to want to budge on the price. If you like _everything_ as is, you inspected it in person to make sure it’s in excellent condition, _and_ you actually have enough saved up for it then why not?

Buy a specialized status for that price.

I just sold a 2023 rift zone cxr for $1500.. had it listed for 6 months at $2200 and lowered about $100 a month. Finally had someone offer me $1500 and let it go.

The rear shock is a Float X not a Float X2, big difference
