Stoked to have completed my first bikepacking ride! Borrowed all of my bags to see how I would like it! Took my 44lb setup 102 miles over 2 days. Rode the first stretch to Kohler Andrae and braved a raging thunderstorm. Next day I rode the remaining 48 miles to Point Beach State Forest where I met some friends for some more camping!

That looks awesome! If you’re looking for other great overnighter spots near mke, Lapham Peak has a fantastic backpacking campsite and an incredible view from the tower. I was startled awake by some wild Turkeys when I was on my cross Wisconsin trip.
