Looking at getting my first dedicated road bike as I’m doing the bike portion of a team triathlon this summer. I’ve done primarily gravel and mountain biking in the past. Thoughts on this bike for a beginner doing longer distances? And is this price reasonable considering the upgrades/extras on it? It is a 2013 Trek Lexa SLX for $600

It’s an entry level bike that will do the job. Used market is less than new but over priced. I’ve been trying to get a deal and every time one comes up it gets snatched up immediately, so if you want to save yourself the hassle you can just overpay and be done with it.
Too much, by kind of a lot. It should be in the $375-400 range. And jeez those frame welds look terrible.
