Boiling water and time it lol. Every stove has different temp and the pot boils at different times for each household. Great recipe by a great chef keep cooking. 😂😂
When I go to boil my eggs, I placed them in the pot first followed by the water. The top part of the eggs is always stick out and float to the top. Why is this and how do I fix that? It just feels like the top part is not going to be cooked because the eggs are floating.
I am on a streak disliking every single egg-boiling tutorial that requires a person to get fucking ICE to boil an egg. I don't have ice that easily at my disposal
Instructions: 1. Put cold eggs into cold water, with just enough cold water to cover the top of the eggs, leaving the very top exposed; keep lid off
2. Set to medium-high heat and bring water to a rolling boil.
3. Put a lid on the eggs and completely remove from heat (off the hot burner and onto a cool surface on the stove); set timer for 14 minutes and let it sit.
4. While eggs are sitting, mix cold water and ice and stir until 32°F, or for about 1-2 minutes, depending on the volume of water, for those who don't have thermometers.
5. When eggs are finished cooking, place them into the ice bath (blanching) for about 5-10 minutes. Done!

I've seen people claiming the video is hard to follow and we're confused about when to put the lid on and found the video difficult to follow. It was probably a mistake on his part, but you leave the lid OFF while bringing it to a boil; because the water temperature rises slower with the lid OFF, it shows the internal temperature of the egg COLD eggs to rise evenly, preventing the outer side of the egg cooking faster than the inner core, and also preventing the eggs from peeling funny (the shell taking the outer egg with it). The older the eggs, the easier it is to peel.
Professional chef for over a decade. Hope this helps all those in need of help with a more straightforward approach with a set of instructions.
14 minutes is the golden time for the perfect Hard boiled eggs with zero runny yolk.
Those Eggs were not easy to peel 😋 What you should do, is steam them instead, easiest peel, you save lots of water, lots of energy and therefore lots of money! Also ice water is just another hazzle to have to make more ice cubes, and clean an extra bowl… Just.use rap water directly in the pot! 🙂Millions of years of evolution and still people can't cook Eggs 😋

This is excessive and pompous. All you need to do is boil them, not any of this extra unnecessary and performative bs
He said to put the lid on.
Get to a boil, then heat off,
And put lid on.
But he never said to take lid off
why do you put a lid on twice in this video
But what temperature should my boiling water be!!!??!?… 😏
This is the second time i've tried to do the whole cold to boil and let them sit. Even after 14 min it's still liquid chicken. Gross!
Ima brute force that shit next time and boil for 15 min.
Air fryer, 135, 9-12 mins
He said when it starts coming to a boil turn the heat off and wait 6 minutes hmmm interesting
Hmmm I'd say 4 minutes for soft boiled eggs if your using a regular stove and doing his method
Not one of these eggs looks hard boiled 😂

9 mins perfect
Thank you.
Jammy is where it's at. I always make ajitama out of half the eggs I boil.
Starting from cold water – 20 minutes

Soft eggs for breakfast ✌🏻👊
This is the longest way I’ve ever followed. Took like 15 min to get the water boiling, then another 8 min to cook.
11
12 minutes
He said put a lid on twice
I cooked my eggs for 15 minutes
He tells us to put a lid on it twice once before killing and again after it comes to a rolling boil.
But when did he take it off?! 😐
8 or 12 i like mine jammy
Dude this is a hard tutorial
Put the lid on. Twice??
So do i need two lids?
5-6 mins is my time hmmmm 🤤
You’re the only one who answered my question, do the eggs need to be room temp or not!!! Thank You!!!😊
I have two lids on…what do I do now?
IT’S PERFECT!!! 12min… it’s perfect 🎉 thank you very much. I’ve wasted so much electricity boiling eggs previously 🤭
This doesn’t work. Don’t know why this guy is posting such a lie.
that first egg looks a bit snotty
How many minutes in a rolling boil? Or just the instant it turns rolling boil I turn off flame?
I tried this and after 6 mins the yolks were rock hard 😡
