My BB exploded and I nursed my bike home. Looks like I wasn't as gentle as I thought.
Will these grooves be a problem with the new BB/bearings? Will it be dependent on whether there is any play once installed?
Thanks
Edit – I guess the BB must have been damaged way before I realised! Have found a second hand one for £30 with only about 100miles on them. Not too shabby. Thanks all for your help.

Nope, that’s a new crank. This thing is no longer safe to ride. That failure could be catastrophic.
It aint good. You may hear some creaking even eith a new BB or just a Lil bit of play if the grooves are where the bearings sit
Not safe at all. It may look like most of the metal is still there so strength has only been reduced slightly, but this is a massive torsional stress riser and a crank failure will obviously put you in the tarmac very quickly.
That crank axle is done for. Even with a new bottom bracket there will be play.
Out of curiosity how long did you ride it with a damaged bottom bracket? That wear is massive.
Is this from an internally routed cable that isn’t in the guide correctly?
Replace.
Not a lot of reserve material and the groves make a shear point
