  1. oh wow i’d love those but i’m used to no hoods

i do see fake hoods for sale sometimes, but ofc it depends on bar width

My road bike has similar aerobars. I have a little square of skateboard griptape on the tops. It’s nice when you’re climbing or need to change position without worrying about slick hands

Imma known drop hater, I’m usually never in them so I just rock bullhorns now

  4. I’ve also got a pair of these, and I just can never find the comfortable angle on them. I agree if they were bunch bars you could ride the like bullhorns

I think my hands might be too small to grip the tops comfortably

It could feel off as well because the reach is now longer. Every time you go wider or narrower it changes the length of the reach because it’s is still longer or shorter on the diagonal. Raising or lowering the stack hight can also affect the reach because bringing the bars down is bringing them further from your chest (also depends on your riding position and flexibility). That looks like a sick custom paint job on the stem too so it might be worth it if you have a spacer above your stem to bring it up and see if that makes the reach more comfortable (and it might make you more aero if you can keep your elbows bent). Another adjustment you could make is bringing the saddle forward but this can change the weight distribution and peddling mechanics too. I have used the njs 3D printed hoods and I love mine also.
