  1. I inherited this years ago and always thought it was really cool. Super pretty piece kept in good original condition. If I’m being honest though it’s not a fun ride. I guess bikes have come a long way since the 70s(?).

After moving with it several times, including into and around NYC, with no real practical purpose it’s starting to lose its charm and mark up my hallway walls. So my question is what can I do with it? I know modern Bugatti bikes command a high retail price tag but is there any value here purely in being a collectors item? Should I sell it to someone that would appreciate the history and patina or would it not be too sacrilegious to chop it up and do a custom build so it could be enjoyed again as it was meant to be? Would it even be a good candidate?

  2. I ride clunky old slow bikes for the charm of being clunky and old and slow. Yours is a beaut and looks right up my alley. If you were in LA, I’d make you an offer for it. I have no doubt you’ll find a buyer in NYC if you decide to go that route.

Not a great bike but serviceable.

I suspect the high $ Bugattis are different. This one 99% came out of a factory in the east and got B stickers slapped on it. Does it show where it was made?

  4. I’d honestly buy it and use it. It looks beautiful! Have you tried selling it to bike coops in NYC? I just joined one and I don’t own a bike myself. I’m in the market for one currently.
