That’s what the little bits below the cutter are for. The big one is to crimp (gently) cable housing ferrules, and the little one to crimp cable ends.

I thought you were gonna ask if you could trim your pup’s nails with it. Haha. Yes, the knobby bits inside under the cutter part are designed for that purpose though I find it somewhat difficult when crimping behind the seat post remote lever as the cutter part gets in the way.

I find that a decent set of vice grips will crimp the cable caps better than the park tool.

Im left handed and still grab the needle nose pliers to crimp cuz my brain goes into a weird mode trying to hold these and do the crimping.
