I've seen a lot of discussion on this sub about aero vs ultimate. Curious to hear opinions about comparing these two bikes? For context, I am a fairly new rider, compete in triathlons, and ride casually but looking to kick it up a notch or two

I ride both. Aeroad always on the flats and for speed and ultimate in the alps
Got both.. IMO.. Want to go fast fast, get the Aeroad. Want that feeling of a light bike, slightly more comfort? Get the Ultimate.
If you plan to ride it in triathlons, Aeroad.
Aeroad clears. Same geometry and the Aeroad is even lighter
carbon layup of the frame is better on the aeroad so you’re not even really getting weight benefits of the ultimate. aeroad is the better option
I got that ultimate right there. It’s all about your training though.
I have an Aeroad and I would never go anywhere else. It’s a top tier bike. MVDP rides it. Do we need an other argument here?
The main difference is the look. Pick what looks better for you. Both great bikes. Enjoy whatever you choose.
They are both great bikes. I’ve had both CFR models and can’t tell the difference other than the looks. Get what looks good to you and ride it, they are both fast. At the end of the day if you are looking at aero numbers without the rider on board you are tricking yourself. I have put 5k miles on the Ultimate and 23k miles on the Aeroad and I can’t tell you which was faster on the flats or the hills.
