Just picked up this bike and the guy rode moto so the brakes were flipped. Will all the brake fluid just pour out of the reservoir when I take the hose off or should I be able to swap them back without needing to refill and bleed them

  1. You’ll need to bleed after swapping them. depending on the condition of the olive, you may have to clip the ends off and replace the olive and barb, but they may just seal up.

Not all the fluid, but a couple drops will. Doing a quick lever bleed after you’re done is recommended but usually not necessary if you’re careful.

Angle the levers so they’re pointing up when you remove the hoses, this will reduce how much fluid leaks out.
