  1. CroMo has been used in saddle rails for like half a century. I’ve never seen one fail. Titanium is also used but would save maybe a few grams.

  2. I’d rather opt for a seatpost without setback.
    Titanium(-alloys) are not necessarily more resistance to loads than good steel, they are just somehow lighter.

    Good steel would be the default material for something like this. Steel is stronger than titanium (for the same geometry). That being said, this looks “interesting” but not like something I would like to test myself.
