The cathedral is not being renovated, it was set on fire in 2020 by a refugee who was housed there. The 500 years organ was lost
Just caught this video and I have a friend flying in dec 1st, Monday in the am. Will things be open on the Monday. What do you suggest. Pre book anything? What place to have a good meal and drinks for lunch? Thank you.
My husband and I are moving to France (probably in the spring) from North Carolina. I just finished doing a deeper dive into La Rochelle, but I've also been looking hard at Nantes. The city is moving so quickly to create more green spaces, pedestrian only spaces, safe bike paths away from car traffic…it seems to be getting better and better gearing up for continued climate change. The only worry I have is the climate – months of gray weather at a time can be pretty depressing for me. You lived there through the seasons – are there enough sunny breaks in the rainy weather or does the sky remain gray for weeks at a time?
Hello roya
How r u
Was wonderful 15 years ago… Today after 8pm it turns like a shit hole…. I left for country side 3 years ago.. no regret
This is the exact tour I gave to my parents this weekend ahah
Went for a day trip at the weekend and was surprised there was so much to see and variety too, very underrated
This is so helpful for me – I am moving to Nantes for a new job in January from the US, and have been growing ever more anxious about the move!
I was an exchange student at Ecole Centrale DE Nantes in 1997,states St Residence Schuman on Rue Schuman, lots of fun, will revisit soon
Nantes is what AI told me is where I should retire based on my requirements. Maybe I'll take a peek on the off-season.
Loved your video, I'm a video editor if need any help with editing or designing please let me know 😊 or reply on this comment
Beware! Nantes has become a very dangerous city in the last few years! Solo women travellers should avoid it!
Now that you've talked about the Germanic, Celtic, and Latin peoples of France, talk about the Arab-Amazigh people of France. They are the equivalent of the Latins in the United States of America.
So beautiful ✨️Thank you for sharing 🌺
They steal your content!

Hey Roya do you know Charlotte Vautier?
I went to Brittany and Normandy this summer and didn't get to Nantes. Really wish I had now. To be honest I'd take any excuse to go back to Brittany- it's such an incredible place. There's a whole long list of other stuff I'd like to visit there.

The song "Nantes" of American band "Beirut" is about the city
I've been living in Nantes for almost 10 years, it's currently winter and everything feels dull an it's been raining non-stop for a few months. This video reminds me that it's not just that!
I've been following you for years. I'm french, currently living in oslo, but originally from Nantes. This nearly made me cry with nostalgia, I miss my home city dearly. I'm glad you liked it. Best city in France.
I lived in Chateaubriant for a year. Definitely visited Nantes a few times. No mechanical sculptures way back then!!!
Je n'ose plus y aller à cause de l'explosion de la délinquance dans cette ville.
I’ve been living in Nantes for about 4 years now, and I’ve really fallen in love with the city.❤
