    Low weight for low spoke count.

    This pattern allowed for thicker flange, but instead of increasing the weight by having a full round flange, the missing material offsets the extra weight of the thicker flange.

    Of course, it’s low rotational weight, so kinda an overkill, but it IS a cool looking hun and seeks really easy to lace up.

    If Im not wrong, as I searched once, Bontrager is famous to be one the first to use this kind of pattern, called paired holes in hub and rim, and they declared that it made stronger and stiffer. If you are wheel building, considere minus 1mm to spoke lenght, as spokes calculators out there rarely have option to specify this
