Never owned a hardtail?

I own a orbea occam am h10 trek ex5 and a dmr dirt jumper (a older 24”) and need recommendations for a cheaper hardtail that o can upgrade over the next couple years I’m looking for something I can ride around the city since it really hilly and hit a few gravel trails/trails

I don’t really know anything about hardtails need some advice and I’ve included a couple photos of bikes I was looking at
