Old Man Mountain Elkhorn. I run this as a rear rack on my setup but it can be used as a front. I would avoid those style cages though. I have broke a few of those style cargo cages hauling 1.5L water bottles on them. Salsa anything and Blackburn Outpost has worked well for me. I have heard good things about the King Cage stuff.

Tumbleweed T-Rack and Pannier rack can be used in the same way, I prefer these as they are made of steel, but these sorts of racks allow for a super versatile setup. Small panniers, handlebar bag support, zip tie a basket on there, lots of options!

This rack is mostly desirable because you can get an axle fit kit and greatly increase it’s load capacity. Other racks mentioned below (T Rack) or VO There and Back Rack, do very similar.

I’d recommend the tumbleweed t rack over this omm elkhorn as it’s a nice chromoly but if you like the look of this one I bet it’s fine. Additionally if you have a triple mount on the fork you’d want to attach straight to that if possible to make sure the weight carries better. Then you could run a much lighter rack like the nitto m18 for the upper part.

what’s the max. dead load rating for that?

there’s no horizontal strut to attach this to the fork crown?

it’s looks like it’s designed to fail if you overload or barely load that rack.
