Why are you using grease in a press fit? The grease goes on the bearings. For Ti frames you should use Ti-Prep or something similar. Used to use pop cans to shim to insure a tight fit.

You can and it will work, but copper grease is better on aluminum bits to prevent galvanic corrosion. If you’re not annually servicing the headset I’d go with the copper grease. Thinking about salty ingresses like sweat, electrolyte mix, road salt etc.

You could, but I definitely wouldn’t. Find a quality anti-seize compound recommended for use with titanium. Google search will help you out. It’s a beautiful bike OP.

  4. Yes but best to use an anti seize.

That grease will not harm either the frame or the headset. It however will not offer the best protection against corrosion. If that grease is all you have access to then use it with plan to remove, clean and reinstall at least annually for best prevention. If you don’t want to remove and reinstall annually and can wait to get an anti seize grease then do so. Even with anti seize it would be best to remove and reinstall occasionally over the life of the frame, maybe 2-3 years.

  5. And stop over paying for bike gresse and user normal gresses
    The bike inflates the price

  6. Wow, so many comments insisting on using some special anti-seize. I think we all need to relax a little bit this is just a headset they come out pretty easily largly because they have no threads. The specific product you’re showing I’ve been using for years it works great, nothing to worry about.
If you want you could add a little extra grease after you install where water might enter.

I don’t think what anyone is saying here is blatantly wrong but that specific grease actually is pretty solid for assembly. I’ve changed bbs and headsets a year or so in and that stuff is still basically as it went on the bike – does not wash away, does not liquify/run. in terms of the actual chemistry, I think there are greases that can work as well as copper/silver anti sizes but that’s above my pay grade. the maxima red grease is also great for assembly but I use motorex for everything else

Regular grease is more than adequate for this. Anti seize compound is also fine.
