What do you think about this Fuji Jari bike that I got for 1200€ from a local shop in very good conditions, every component is new.

Somehow every time I ride it I have my doubts about if I did good or not in buying it. I dont know if I only need to get use to it or what.

The Sram Apex is new and basicaly made all the price of the bike. Its not bad but sometimes I feel its not enough shifts. The frame is alu, fork carbon and theres not to much range to put wider wheels than 45mm(at least in the back wheel) .

I think that for the same price it would have been better to get the Canyon All road endurance new.

Since I haven't used it too much I was thinking in selling before I damage it and get a better deal.

But I would like to read some opinions please.

  1. The Jari is make a great touring bike. It has more tire clearance and mounting options than a Canyon endurance all-road I definitely wouldn’t swap for that. The Apex gearing is potentially something that would not be your preference though since it doesn’t have the biggest range. For touring on steep routes it definitely is better to have lower gears

  2. That is a steel frame, not aluminum. It is a very cool bike. Looks great, nice setup, excellent ergonomics. It’s a very fair price from a shop.

Get some SPD pedals and shoes, and have the shop help you get the saddle height adjusted. Just ride it! Nothing needs to be upgraded, Apex is fine. You’ve got plenty of gears. Spend the money on accessories. You can easily spend another 1k on all the little things. Pedals and shoes, tube, patch kit, pump, multi tool. Have your shop show you how to replace the tube or watch a youtube video. Bottle cages (or frame bag), Then start adding all the bags to hold gear. Make sure your kit is good too, helmet and gloves, bibs or shorts, jersey, windbreaker, etc.
