This is my first roadbike and i prioritice comfort over aero gain. I should buy a large right? I've watched a lot of youtube videos saying you should size down thought. I'm 187 cm tall and have an inseam of 87 cm. Help would be appreciated:)

It appears you are looking for bike fitting help. Please make sure you post as screenshot of the Canyon size chart for your bike, with your point in it. See [this example](https://imgur.com/a/ALUfXyy)

The size down part is because Canyon call their bike sizes a bit differently from what many people expect.
Either way, you’re firmly in L, so you should go for it.
Get the correct size like mine was a small. I’m 5’10
