Hi guys just been slowly upgrading my 2016 Specialized e5 alloy diverge.
I’ve got it down to 8.5kg with some upgrades such as lighter tyres, tubeless, carbon seatpost, carbon cranks, carbon handlebar, lighter seat, SPD Pedals anything else I can do to shave some weight or improve the ride?
What do you think of the colour scheme does the brown and red work or any other colour suggestions in places I can change?

If you want to drop weight and improve the ride then perhaps a lighter set of wheels. You could go carbon… definitely lighter, stronger and will ride very nicely, but expensive. Check out Lightbicycles.com they make great wheels and aren’t too expensive. Hed make some nice aluminum wheel that ride great. As your components wear out you can up grade. Replacing the cassette, derailleur could save a little weight. If you get some fancy light wheel you’ll be set. I haven’t checked, but I’m guessing you bike is lighter than my 2021 carbon Diverge pro (58cm) especially when my tool kit’s in it.
Brown seat looks great, I don’t like the bar tape but if you do then that’s awesome.
You could get a drill and start adding lightening holes
As others have said lighter wheels are probably the most sensible upgrade. 8.5kg is pretty light for an alloy gravel bike. You definitely get to a point where shaving grams gets more and more expensive.
Not sure what is the purpose of saving weight here, but you could definitely get sub 8kg with carbon wheels.
I was just curious if you found those hoods comfy at that angle?
