My Bombtrack Hook came with 650b x 2.0 WTB rangers from the factory and those are great for trail riding with the occasional smooth gravel mixed in. Perfect for winter riding as well. With the warmer part of the year inbound, I wanted a faster set for more mixed pavement/gravel rides. So I picked up a set of DT swiss wheels in 700c and went with the Schwalbe G-ONE RS tire in 40mm. These are wicked fast! Gotta love the number of personal records I set on the first ride!

Good choice! They score really high on tests in terms of speed: [https://www.graveltirelab.com/tires/schwalbe-g-one-r-pro-40mm](https://www.graveltirelab.com/tires/schwalbe-g-one-r-pro-40mm), though I had some really back luck with tiny punctures, that did not seal. Still no clue if it’s the tire or the sealant. Will go back to test another width after I finish my Caracal race.

I have run them a few hundred miles without any issues. Some chunky gravel rides too.
Rear tires should be running in the opposite direction

Can anyone tell the difference between G1 tires? RS, R, RS Pro, R Pro etc? Happy owner of a G1 RS Pro set

I had to change to Pirelli’s from Schwalbe G-Ones kept popping during basically every trip

I got some elite wheels carbon rims and Schwalbe g-one RS PROs in 45mm, 2 weeks ago and I’m so happy – don’t know how much of it is placebo but it feels so fast!

Glad I’m not the only one 🙂

They’re fast allright. Currently contemplating RX pro in 50mm and the Vittoria T70 in 45mm. Both seem not to leave a much bigger penalty in terms of speed/watts but do offer benefits in grip, comfort and durability.

Just came from Schwalbe TB 2.1’s that were plenty fast too but also sweating sealant continuously, and I do enjoy the 2.25 Mezcal rear on my XC MTB
