kornonthecob2001 on April 9, 2026 10:14 am devils argument, the kona will be much faster since 700c and already threadless so easy to put any number of rigid forks on
Plenty-Rooster7278 on April 9, 2026 10:17 am Go Kona. Everyone’s got a Specialized. That Kona’s got some character.
yodas_sidekick on April 9, 2026 10:31 am The Kona – having a threadless 1 1/8” is really nice and rigid forks for those are a dime a dozen if you want to switch.
trykedog on April 9, 2026 12:11 pm The Hard Rock likely doesn’t have as nice a frame… I think. Depends on if you want a shock, if the shock is in good working order. I would probably go for the Kona. I think slightly better components overall, but I can’t really make them out.

d_dubyah on April 9, 2026 12:52 pm I would go specialized because of the head tube angle, and tire clearance.

The specialized because of the rigid fork.

Kona, but swap the fork for a rigid.
I would go with the Kona because I hate grip shift.
