Sharing a project I've enjoyed working on recently as a newish cyclist and amateur 3D printing hobbyist. Both are hobbies I picked up just this last year.

Created a custom charging station for all my bike/fitness electronics. This helps keep everything a bit more organized, always topped up, and ready to grab on my way out for a ride. It's not the most refined looking, but for a first iteration prototype I'm happy with it. Here's my personal gear I designed this for:

  • Shokz OpenRun Bone Conducting Headphones (magnetic charger)
  • SRAM Battery Charger
  • Wahoo Trackr Rear Light & Radar
  • Wahoo Elemnt Bolt3 Bike Computer
  • Magicshine HORI1300S Bike Headlight
  • Wahoo Tickr Fit Armband Heartrate monitor (magnetic charger)

I went through several early prototype versions and kept tweaking placement to try and align all devices a bit more evenly. I ended up adding Shokz and Tickr Fit Chargers once I realized their proprietary magnetic chargers could be integrated using pressure fit enclosures.

I'm a 3D modeling / printing newbie. Used TinkerCAD to model and a Bambu Labs P1S to print it. All of this is mounted using strong magnets that I super glued to the back of the charging station. We have a freezer in our garage near an outlet and close in proximity to my bike – that makes it an ideal place to magnetically mount this.

Welcome your thoughts or feedback. It's been a lot of fun to learn and grow. In the future I hope to have a much more elegantly executed implementation. But for now it works and solves a real problem for me. I'd be curious how you all are managing your cycling charging dependencies in an organized way. 😀

What? You got tired of having your stuff hanging off a ps5 and the other stuff plugged into a wall? Nice work. 👏

  2. Very cool and super practical. Took me 10 minutes of searching to find my Shokz cord the other day. Nice work.

  3. Nice work!

If I were doing v2, I’d mount the charger into back of the plate, and then use 1 ft cords to reduce the clutter. That also means the charger isn’t hanging from the cords, which irks me.

I’ve been printing out the mounts piecemeal to attach to a pegboard, an all in 1 solution looks great!

  5. Pretty cool idea, I especially like the built in quarter turn mounts. One thing you might think about is some little prongs or arms to help with cord management.

I did a lesser version of this and then I just got an extension cord and got long cables so now I can charge everything while it’s still on the bike which is nice now for the power pedals and Di2

  7. Hi could you share your files? Ive been thinking of doing something like this for my chargeables and having a starting point would be massive. Thank you
