  1. Since French words are not always pronounced how they are spelled, it’s difficult to understand proper nouns, since you don’t anglicize them, and rarely use subtitles.
I couldn’t understand the train station you were referencing , where you catch the train to Fontainebleau.

  2. I loved this video! It may be your best one, yet.
Despite the dozens of times I’ve been to Paris & other parts of France, I’ve never considered Fontainebleau. It’s now on my list. I love that you included historical references. You’re good at this.🎉

  3. Excellent video! Just please remember to keep the background music much lower which is more enjoyable for viewers and then doesn’t require us to constantly turn up the volume when you’re speaking and then down again when you’re not.

  4. I love how you speak so clearly that I can watch on 3.0x speed even without any problems and even that feels slow 😂 btw have you thought about putting the IPA transcription of the French words that you mention? feel like that would be very helpful for the viewers

  5. We are headed to Paris for the first time and had planned to go to Versailles for a day trip (got tickets reserved via Paris Museum Pass) but now I'm rethinking that and doing Fontainebleau instead! It is also included in the PMP and doesn't require a reservation (unlike Versailles). Thanks for sharing!

  6. Hi Arielle – my husband and I loved this video and we are now Team Fountainebleu – we think it will suit us better than Versaille. I am going to buy your guide now but we are planning and booking ahead. Is Sunday a good day to visit? Will the village be vibrant?

  7. Bonjour! What is the name of the village you recommend seeing that is close to Fontainebleau? Sounds like it starts with a letter 'B'; would that be Bourron-Marlotte? Thank you!

  8. I've noticed this chateau are one of the most furnished Chateau compared to the ones in Loire Valley. To see a fantastic French garden, you must visit Chateau Villadry.

  9. I like your videos… they are excellent! And you have a good French pronunciation. It's just a very mall thing… but if you could pronounce "bleau" in Fontainbleau correctly… that would be great. It makes me think of "blow" and makes me cringe 😅

Best regards from a German from Munich, Germany.
