New to bikes and found this on marketplace for $500 CAD. Not sure if it’s worth it and if I can find something of better value for the same price. I believe it’s the Giant Defy 1. Would love some advice

Thats a very solid entry level bike. I wouldn’t say that price is a deal but it’s a decent price for a ‘real’ bike. Try and talk them down but I wouldn’t be against paying that if it fit.

My friend just bought this exact bike alongside a whole bunch of gear for $300 USD. I’d say $500 is a little steep, and $250-300 is about the most I would go for just the bike. Great bike though.
