Recently built up this 88 rockhopper in dinucci green.

Added some budget bags and a rear rack. Taking it to Sam Houston national forest for a 60 miler in a couple weeks, will be my first bikepacking trip ever.

Bonus dragonfly in the last picture.

Does anyone have a recommendation to get a nalgene strapped to the forks? I was looking at the zefal gizmos but not sure if there's a better option?

Beautiful! I feel like I rarely see these with the yellow text not faded to white (like my ’88)

  2. Love that setup and also want to know who makes these bags;)
For the Nalgene bottles: Get some Cargo Cages (I use Balckburn Outpost ones) and use regular hose/clamps (make sure to protect the frame with electrical tape etc.) My SO uses some cheapo M-Wave plastic Cargo Cages that even came with hose clamps. Together with some voile style straps it works absolutely great and you can use then for drybags as well .
I ordered some Zefal Gizmos for another project but they are really flimsy and I wouldn’t trust them on a bikepacking trip especially with any bigger bottles.
