hi, would you put this bike on the top of your car? if so, would a cover help not losing decorations? both would be fixed to the bike rack, of course. thanks
I mean… you *can*, but I’d be a little nervous about all those decorations 😅
Roof racks are usually fine for kids’ bikes, just make sure it’s clamped down properly and nothing’s rubbing. But those little spoke decorations? At highway speed they might turn into confetti real quick.
A cover could help a bit with wind, but it’ll also flap like crazy unless it’s super tight, which kinda defeats the purpose. Honestly, if it were me, I’d either take the decorations off for the trip or just toss the bike inside the car if possible.
That said, if you leave them on and they survive… that bike’s tougher than most adult ones 😂

I don’t think I’d do either of the (I assume) little girl that rides it is sensitive about it looking perfect when you get to your destination.
That said, if you end up HAVING to, do the following:
Don’t use the cover. It’ll flap, possibly trash itself, and damage the finish and other decorations.
Take the time to prepare the bike for the roof. Take off the basket, and if you do this often, modify it’s mount to make it easily removed and put back on.
Same, probably, for the handlebar mascot.
See how robust the spoke flowers are, especially the attachment. It might be easiest to find replacement ones and replace as needed.
If you know a seamstress, sew up a stretchy cloth/mesh cover for the handlebars and front tire. This will help with bugs and sand damage.

Good luck.
