  1. Aluminum or carbon? Can’t really tell. Probably not good for either, but probably worse for carbon

  2. Ooof. If they’re new and u paid with cc insurance will cover. Otherwise contact manufacturer and see if they have crash replacement. Sorry this happened to u.

Check with DT Swiss, OP. They have a special warranty that might cover damage like this for a small cost:

The Fair-Share Policy provides discounted replacement for damaged carbon wheels ($249 USD/EUR per wheel) due to riding errors. Warranty excludes wear parts, misuse, and modification.

  4. Sorry but screwed by a drywall screw is kinda funny when you say it

I know however this happening to brand new gear is not funny at all. Sorry this happened

I would not ride it since it is carbon. I would see if it possible to repair which I doubt or replacement

  5. I had an almost identical thing happen to me and ended up replacing the rims. Wasn’t worth it to me to risk the chance of an accident but your risk calculation may differ

  6. I had the same thing happen and got it repaired by a carbon specialist. If you’re in texas happy to share the guys info. Been perfectly fine since

No….. remove thw tape/strip. Use a empty piece of a clif bar wrapper or similar. Either tape it in place and put a NEW wide enough rim strip on OR use wide enough tubeless tape (looks like what you have anyway? It does look like you are running regular tubes? I had this issue about 5 years ago and am still running those wheels
