Does anyone on here use this bag or something similar? I currently have a rear basket with the MTX quick track but I’m thinking of swapping it out for this.
I used one for about a year, and it was sufficient for me to bring my laptop, some tools and some groceries to and from work. Unfortunately the side pockets weren’t big enough for my laptop to fit with a padded sleeve so I had it in there bare, and the sharp corners of it began to wear through the pocket at the bottom. I eventually swapped it out for a decathlon backpack that converts to a pair of pannier bags. Let me know if you’ve got any other questions about it.

Looks just like the one I got from Temu, but with a brand name in it lol 😂

I use bags like that on all my bikes. Good to carry your lunch and supplies on long endurance rides. Small item grocery runs, etc…
Go look on amazon though… thats a bit pricey for a trunk bag. The 50 ish dollar ones work just as well. You can get (or make with conversion latches) side panniers that that are easy to attach and detach when you have larger cargo.
I’m on my second one. Fold out the sides/top when needed. Fits stuff I need for commuting (clothes/laptop/tools). The quick track works great.

I had one for a few years. It did require a separate rain cover which was a bit annoying.
The zippers also failed on me after a few years.
It was nice to have the trunk part and it slid into the rack.

I had a Bontrager one like it with the collapsible side bags. It worked ok, but the side bags didn’t like to stay secured to the rack with only the Velcro attachments once there was any real weight in the bags. I added snap buttons to the Velcro which helped, but was still not great. Eventually the bags started to wear holes in them, which I patched with Tenacious Tape (the Topeak bags look more durable, to be fair, mine were a like a very thin windbreaker.) I managed to safely bring a few rare bottles and cans from a local cidery home without the bags ripping through, but I was so worried I upgraded to real panniers after that, and I don’t miss the trunk bag at all. I like to be able to bring lots of stuff, pick up bulky items like toilet paper and 20lbs of litter and bird seed, 2 40L panniers suits me better. If you know you likely won’t be bringing much or anything too large, and won’t be using the side bags often, it will probably be fine for you.

I have one and they are fine if you never want to take them off the bike when you go somewhere (great for holding bike maintenance gear). I find that I much prefer my solo market pannier from twowheelgear, but it’s a bit more expensive than the MTX if you get 2.

My partner uses his for commuting regularly 🙂
I think it’ll a pretty good flexible option if you don’t need to carry too much! He fits a jumper, keys, wallet, book in the main compartment and the fold outs are handy for supermarket stops etc. The quick release mechanism honestly looks really smooth. When it’s folded up I think it’s pretty easy to carry, but maybe a little awkward when the panniers are full. Keep in mind the panniers are pretty small.
His work is an “arrive at location. Put belongings in locker. Work for 10 hours. Go home” situation, so he doesn’t need to take much to work or carry the bag around that much. Personally I prefer a basket I can fit a good sized tote in, as my work is much more cycle-stop-visit-cycle-walk etc. I need to carry more and it needs to be comfy to carry

The Topeak bags are top quality.
I have two extra Aventon Level 3 batteries. The Topeak E-Xplorer TrunkBag 26L is one of the few bags on the market that can hold two extra batteries in the main section with room to spare! Amazing bag! It’s huge!
