British cycling challenged me to find and ride the toughest cobbles in Britain so I naturally went to Halifax, the home of insane cobblestone climbs and Trooper lane is the headline act of a long list of brutal climbs.

My bike set up helped massively here. I had 32mm tyres with a lower psi of 60 compared to normally 85psi. I also used very easy gearing to help me remain seated and keep the pedals moving. 11-42 / 46-30.
