Un ajo no da una cabeza de ajos. Solo da hojitas verdes que pueden comerse en ensaladas, y da flores, en las flores están las semillas para Nuevos ajos.

Ese es el cebollín?
Para las personas que notan que se parece a un puerro o cebollino, en realidad se necesitan unos pasos extras para que se genere el bulbo. Como agregar tierra en la base, cortarle la flor antes de que florezca y en el momento en el que comience a secarse, doblar el tallo o hacerle un nudo con su mismo tallo, además de ir reduciendo el riego hasta que la tierra esté un poco seca. Todos esos pasos se hacen para que la energia, los nutrientes ( y gracias al "estrés" por la falta de agua), vayan hacia la base del tallo, generando su bulbo. Me ha tocado sembrarlas y por la falta de conocimiento me salían como en éste video, realmente es interesante conocer cómo sembrar cada especie, los cuales tienen cuidados diferentes y no solamente que les llegue agua y sol.

Hmmmmm. I plant each clove about 4" in the fall. I harvest in July, and actually get large bulbs with lots of cloves.
I also keep the skins on. 😅
