I love how people call you an antisemite if you don’t support Israel’s genocide.

It’s a cool bike. I don’t have kids but I think it’s a great looking product and the company has morals.

I feel like calling this anti-semitic is a pretty big jump. Israel doesn’t represent all jewish people but it is a country that is/was commiting a genocide.
While I do understand the argument that regular citizens may or may not support the war crimes committed in Gaza I feel like this is a pretty normal thing for a company to do. I know there are plenty of people who would not want to do business with the USA at this time due to our governments global actions. Or better yet, let’s say a company’s says that they wouldnt want to do business with Russia due to the Ukrainian conflict – you wouldnt call that racism towards Russians

Yeah I dont understand why you wouldn’t just go to a bike shop instead of getting out of warranty generic/universal parts from 2500 miles away + the import and shipping fees.

I’m going to get my girlfriend pregnant to support this company. Always honorable to stand against genocide.

Israel is the biggest contributor to anti semitism today. So not serving Israel is actually pro-Semitic

This guy is free to do as he chooses, but what concerns me about this sort of thing is it raises the level of aggression against Jewish people. And given antisemitism is so close to the surface it doesn’t take much for it to turn into outright aggression. I say this as an Aussie who saw what happened here at Bondi recently.
The Israeli govts actions don’t speak for all Jews as shown by the protesters in Israel already.

I understand this guy’s position and fully support it. If that was my business though I would just lie that there are regulations we couldn’t meet or shopping the product so far is too difficult for our company.

Based. If they sold adult tshirts I’d buy one.

Interesting. Looks like it has 3 main “modes” and the whole thing is $400 before shipping. $300 for the basic balance bike and $100 (years later) for the pedal kit. It’s a neat idea but it might be more economical to just upgrade from a balance bike to one with pedals later, and then you still have the balance bike to give away to another parent.
The most interesting part is the idea that the kid can skip over using training wheels altogether by getting exposed to enough practice on the balance bike. I haven’t heard of that before, is that common?

I’m Jewish and this is so fucking cringe. This is not discrimination against Jews. Jfc.

As someone who works at a company that still has an Israeli branch, the easiest way to say this is “sorry, we don’t ship these products to Israel.”
I understand the values based sentiment (and agree with it) but I think an email to a customer who likely has zero input on Netanyahu’s aggro, genocidal foreign policy doesn’t move the needle.
At the same time, if it was my company and I had that freedom, might just say the same?
