I’d like to start getting into cycling and have been shopping around. I found this one on marketplace and wasn’t sure if this was a good deal or not. I’d primarily be using it for short road commutes to work and potentially off-road/trails. Let me know your thoughts, thank you!

Go to a bike shop and try some things out before you look on marketplace. That saddle is too wide and the handlebars are too high for the average rider.
I believe this is a 2016 model so 10 years old, not 6.
That stem extender is going to make this thing handle funny. Get rid of that if you buy the bike.
As for price, it’s OK. Highly dependent on drivetrain condition and what the market is like in your area for used bikes.
It’s a decent price but the saddle, bars, photo, and description make me very confident that this person knew *nothing* about their bike. Which makes me worried that they weren’t taking care of it.
I would offer them a half.
