So basically.. I’m looking for a casual bike, one good for pavement and maybeeee slight dirt trails. One that I can pull a baby trailer on the back. I have no idea where to begin. I saw this ozark one at Walmart and I like it, but I have no bicycle related smarts, and no one around me does either. I’m not sure if the handles should be higher or lower etc. Can anyone recommend a resource to choosing the right kind of bike for me? Is there a lot of bikes? Are they all expensive? Anything to avoid?😫 let me know. Thank you.

Check Facebook marketplace or Craigslist for used bikes, can probably get something much cheaper through there that’ll do what you want.
How tall are you?
How much do you weigh?
Go watch some YouTube reviews of the ozark line. Bottom line: solid entry level bike and good value for the price.
Could you put skinnier tires on it and use it as a road bike ?
Immediately replace the tires.

Here’s a review of this particular bike
Consider Craig’s list or FB marketplace.
The Walmart bikes typically have issues with brakes and shifting because the they are unboxed and assembled by people who are not bike mechanics. Many of these big box store bikes sit rusting because they have basic problems. You would do better to buy a used bike from a real bike shop.
If you can stretch a bit, a Trek Marlin can be had from a real bike shop for about $400. Might be a wash by the time you pay them to reassemble this bike.
