  1. saw this on my local facebook marketplace as well. doubling the price is diabolical

  2. Assuming he tuned it this honestly doesn’t fall in the scummy flipper category IMO. Added a saddle, refreshed the chain, etc. $90 for a well riding bike is fair, guys around me would list this for $200

Hilarious flip. Thanks for not pricing it to the moon but how is this worth a $45 profit less time and whatever that saddle cost (probably nothing).

  4. I’m on the Philly FBMP all the time, and there’s one guy who’s infamous for this. Watched a bike sell for <$50 (and I tried buying it), 2 days later, same exact bike, no changes, relisted by this guy for $250. I can tell his listings without even clicking them based on the garbage post titles and overpriced parts.

  5. Trying to imagine a six foot tall person riding this bike. Maybe they’re using dating app measurements

  6. All the time on my local. I’ll get cut out of a purchace just to see the bike 2-5x the price in a few days. It’s disgusting

That’s a solid one overall. Saw a ti fat bike get flipped here, originally listed fully assembled for $200, bought stripped to the frame and reposted for $600 a week later. Guy dropped the price a bit and then built it up again and listed it for $1000!

Unfortunately most of the time i see people rip off the original components, put an Ali express 1x crank on it and colorful cables and sell it for 350

  9. I had an old Fuji Crosstown hybrid from the 90’s that I’d gotten for free and tuned up. It was pretty rusty, worn out, but rideable. I listed it for $60 and this guy came to check it out and rightfully pointed out the seat tube had an issue so I reduced it to $50. He said it was for his girlfriend, and maybe it was, but saw it listed on FB within a week for $160. I wonder if he ever sold it, I barely had any takers at $60 and it didn’t look he’d done anything.
