We need to know what size the bike is? But it doesn’t look real sturdy for a heavy person.

  2. 240-250lbs is probably fine unless you plan on hitting drops and jumps. The bike is definitely small though.

It’s a STEEL GT Triple Triangle bike with 26” 36 spoke count wheel.

This frame could be made into a tandem and carry TWO 200 lb adults and still be fine.

    This bike is strong enough.

However, those tires are cheap $18 26×1.95” basic options.

Get some 26×2.20 tires, only because since the frame is BOTH strong AND stiff, you should get a better tire option. Wider is softer, so your current narrower tires will make the ride uncomfortable.

That bike is strong and reliable. Go for it.

    Ride it and have fun

I am, after dinner, 250 lbs. I rode a GT today. It’s fine. I do bunny hops on it.

The frame will handle it, sturdily made from heavy-gauge cromoly tubes.
But wheels should be looked at (spoke tension, old rims and fatigue issues, hub bearings).
Then again, size could be on the small side if you are 6’1.
