I know this is not necessarily a regular occurrence, but this just makes me shake my head. In many places the only thing that separates bike lanes and vehicle lanes is a think coat of paint. When in motion it is dangerous enough when a driver who can't turn their head a fraction of an inch left or right.
Where I am, cars want to pass the red light line up by zipping up the bike lane to the front, or they want to temporarily park in the bike lane so bike rides have to zig-zag in and out of the road which is dangerous as well.
I'm just shaking my head.

I cannot count the number of times I have had to deal with stuff like this. The other move they pull is to drive up beside you and sideswipe you or try and run you into the curb.
Nah, this is why we need a global fuel shortages and inability to ship parts for the tin cans.
But physical barriers damage cars when drivers dont see them. /s
Paint isn’t protection
This is why we all need to
1) Learn how to bunny hop.
2) Invest in GoPro’s
3) Consider getting a CCW
What happen to showing good ol fashion mug shots in the news?
Impressive road bike bunny-hop onto the curb.
This is why I stopped riding in the road on main streets. I ride on sidewalks, tickets be dammed. I do not cross at intersections, I jay walk nice and calm 2 way streets. I ldc about designated bike crossings etc. If Karen needs to get to her hair appointment, you are in her way and you are smaller then her. Right of way means nothing to them.
This is why we need better enforcement of traffic laws against dangerous drivers.
“Not necessarily a regular occurrence” to be filmed.
