This summer Jared and I crossed the UK following the GCN coast-to-coast route on our electric road bikes, starting from St Bees on the West Coast in Cumbria, crossing Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Parks, to finally arrive in Robin Hood’s Bay on the East Coast 4 days later. We covered 300km (186 miles), around 70km every day.

What we thought would be a pretty straightforward 4th and last day of riding turned into a hill climb challenge — with elevation gain through the North York Moors racking up as high as the first day, when we did the Hardknott Pass in Lake District! Will our batteries last all the way to the end?..

The cycling was my favourite bit, I cycle 5 days a week, so love cycling I want to create an adventure like yours for myself. I live in France and would like to ride to family in the uk. But they all think it would be to dangerous for me. I am not a child I am 67. But my family think I am 5.
