The other problem is that sometimes weekend adventure mud lingers into the work week. Your fenders look like they’re mostly getting the job done, but I see a bit of mud left on! I’m so bad at taking the time and energy to clean my bike after I get home from the trails. Usually that means that Monday morning needs a quick hose-and-brush down, but sometimes there’s not enough time and we arrive with a story.

It wasn’t so hard to work a Monday afternoon back in February when it was 31 and slushy outside, but 55 and sunny on a late March, early April Monday afternoon is very, very tempting!

  2. Lol, that’s rough.
I have a total of 3 bikes. Cross check for my commuter, a Salsa Warbird as my weekend/adventure bike, and a no-name cobbled together singlespeed beater for when I know I’m going to leave it locked outside for a while.

I do feel bad about my Surly, poor thing hasn’t been on dirt in at least a couple of years. Pretty much only does my 10mile round trip urban commute.

Beautiful! Love the straggler! What is the front rack you are using? I’m struggling to find one that fits my bike.

I’m happy for you… but how do manage single speed on all terrain ? 😓
