  1. I find it is way harder to jump when you are actively riding the bike.

    Maybe if you try getting off the bike, staying with your feet shoulder width apart, bend your knees as much as you can while keeping your heels on the ground and then explosively push your body upwards with your legs as you swing your arms up as well to use that extra momentum to gain any extra height you might want.
