Such a cool bike. I’d wager it’s an early 90s bike. They’re kinda sought after in the vintage mtb world (from my little understanding)

  2. omg vintage finds from grandparents are the best!! might need some new tires and a tune-up but that frame looks solid.

It’s a classic/vintage bike, probably late 80s or early 90s, think a two wheeled Model T. Fine for bike paths and such if it’s still in good repair, but if it needs much work you’ll spend more fixing it than it’s worth, unfortunately. There’s a small market for them, or you can ride it around the park and remember your grandpa.

  4. Nice find. It’s a good bike, late 80s midrange mountain bike, but it happens that that particular model and colorway is very in demand right now, because it’s like peak 80s vaporwave/neon.

Congrats, you found an Xbike! That’s a super cool, steel frame in a highly coveted color combo. Not much of a mountain bike of course, but would be a fantastic casual cruiser or touring bike. Just needs a tune-up, some fit adjustment for your size, & probably new tires, but then you’re pretty much golden 👍🏼

  6. Nice, that looks like 91 or 92, the catalogs are available online. My first MTB was a 91 Hard Rock Comp.

I was given this exact bike by someone who bought it, rode it like 3 times, and hung it up in their garage. Unfortunate, their grarage was about 50 feet from the Gulf of Mexico so the bone was pretty rusty,

Looks like around an ‘87 to ‘90 if I’m not mistaken. It’s right around when I bought my first MTB, this was way out of my price range back then though. In ‘88 a Rockhopper comp was like $900 which is like $2500 in today’s money.
