Set out to build a mini velo on a budget, I haven't worked out total cost yet but it's around £600 all in. After a quick 10min shakedown the bike feels great, hopefully there's sunshine tomorrow so I can take it out for the day. I'm over the moon with how it turned out looking forward to taking it on adventures this year.

Spec: WG kamikaze frame with bear frame supplies thru axle dropouts Tig welded in and rear triangle spaced to 142mm from 120mm. Disc brake converted frame. Extra bottle bosses added to top tube, seat tube and down tube. Custom DIY crystal effect pink candy paint.

    Looks beautiful! Your paint scheme and parts choices really make this a sweet build.

    Had never heard of the WG Kamikaze frame before your post: cool idea to take an existing frame and mod it with thru-axle dropouts… a nice upgrade if you have the welding skill (working on that)! Jealous. That shot of your purple-splatter BB cluster with those teal anodized cranks is art. Ride on!
