  1. For some reason, I only say good morning on forested trails. Once I transition back into the neighborhoods, I expect it won’t land the same.

  2. I wave at no one.

Because no one is on my section of the SART at 6am when I’m going to work.

Where I live, people greet each other. When we walk, drive a car, etc. Runners tend to greet, unless they really focus and push hard. Cyclists are a mixed bag. Those on mountain bikes tend to greet. Those on road bikes do not. I think is body position. Greeting makes the world a happier place. Carry on!

  4. If they’re on the same side of the road, then a verbal greeting. If they’re on the other side, give them the hand.

  5. I’m from the UK and For the longest time I thought other cyclists in Spain were a bit rude when you passed them, they never give and acknowledging wave back. It took a while for me to realise that they do a slight head nod here instead of a wave haha.
I still raise my hand slightly and they do the nod, all good!

I’ll say good morning if a cyclist is close passing and they do the same.
