Make sure it’s full chromoly frame forks and bars. But yeah that should be a good starter bike. Just upgrade as you break stuff or if you think you’d like a different spec part.

Frame is full chromoly, not sure about the rest. I think it would be a great first bike. Ride it and as Lonely_Cake said, just upgrade as things break. It looks solid so I’m sure you’ll get some good use out of it before anything breaks.
