Ignore the angle of handlebars etc. currently playing around with putting stuff together.
This frame set came with two of these bearings and then one piece that goes on top of the bearing to connect the stem. I’m wondering if the orientation of these bearings is correct and if they are in the right places because I cannot currently get the top cap (not pictured) to fit well. Sorry if this is a stupid question, I know I really should just go to the shop but I’m too embarrassed lol.

Please go to a bike shop….. you need a crown race under that bearing on the fork. Don’t fuck up your bike because you are embarrassed…
I would have used a little grease but that’s just me
Assuming both bearings are identical… the orientation looks correct to me
