You forgot that since Vietnam's Dai Co Viet era, we have owned the two archipelagos of Hoang Sa and Truong Sa on the map.

Vietnam is small but strong
in Viet nam we call it american war

HOCHIMINH die in HONGKONG🇭🇰
Siam and Annam once fought for many times for the influence in Laos, Lan Xang at the time, and Cambodia in the late 18th and early 19th Century. The role of Siam, Thailand before 1939, began with the changing of strategy during the reign of King Taksin after he re – established the Siamese Kingdom at Thonburi. Formerly, the strategy of Ayutthaya was to wait and defend the Kingdom behind the city wall until the rainy season which caused the flood to make the enemy, mostly the Burmese, retreated. However, in the last battle in 1767, after having besieged Ayutthaya for a year, the Burmese troops also waited, harvested rice and kept attacking the city. Ayutthaya which suffered from being isolated, food shortage and failed system due to the succession conflicts in the past reigns, fell to the Burmese in April 1767. King Taksin, who led his unit to the eastern port city of Chanthaburi, led his armies to drive out the last Burmese troops in the next 11 months. He spent other 3 years to reuniy the Kingdom. After the new Kingdom was established, he changed the strategy not to wait, but to fight to make the sphere of influence as big as possible. This enlargment inevitably made Siam confront with Annam or Vietnam under the rule of Trinh and Nguyen Lords on the issue about the influence over Laos and Cambodia. The first war was during this reign, Siam fought with the Nguyen Lords for the influence over Ha Tien, the major port city established by the Chinese merchants in Cambodia. The war interrupted with the establishment of Rattanakosin Kingdom in 1782. Before the major wars in the reign of King Rama III, one survived member of the Nguyen Lords, Nguyen Anh, took a refuge in Bangkok during the reign of King Rama I before going back to figh the Tay Son Dynasty and crowning himself as Emperor Gia Long. This also led to the establishment of Annamese section, Annam Nikaya, of Mahayana Buddhism in Siam. Siam also sent the troops to support him but was defeated by the Tay Son troops in the Battle of Rạch Gầm Xoài Mút. After becoming an Empeoror, Gia Long kept good relations with Siam. However, the good relations faded in the later reigns and the conflicts became a wars in the Reign of King Rama III which lasted for 15 years and ended with the negotiation on sharing influence of Siam and Vietnam over Cambodia. After that Vietnam became the French colony. During the Colonial period, many Vietnamese freedom fighters including Ho Chi Minh took refuge in Siam and campaigned for the independence in the group of Vietnamese community especially in the Northeast. Since Siam had the conflicts with France in 1839, Paknam Incident and 1940 – 1941, Franco – Thai War, many authorities supported psychologically to these people. Another wave of Vietnamese came after WWII when French troops tried to re – conquer Indochina. During the Cold War, Thailand participated with the American side to fight with the Communists, both in and out of Thailand, and was supported by the US in many forms of development. With the strategy "Fighting out of the house is better than in the house.", Thailand viewed that fighting the Communists oversea would increase more internationla roles and contain the spread of Communism in the country, so Thailand participated in both Korean War and Vietnam War. During the 80s, Thailand had minor border conflicts with Vietnamese troops in Cambodia. Many Vietnamese boat people fled to Thailand both by land and sea before immigration to the third country especially the US. Some of them were unfortunate that they were attacked by the Thai pirates. The situation becomes better after the normalization of the diplomatic relations between Thailand and Vietnam in the early 90s with the campaign "Changing the battlefield into the business field."
Great country with good people.

FACT: "The biggest fear of a true Vietnamese is the fear of losing country"
The history of vietnam and other south east asian countries like cambodia, laos and thailand is so overlooked.
Vietnam will not bow to any oppressors neither Asian nor Europeans.
With high respect from your neighbor. ❤️ 🇻🇳

Non of the pronunciation is correct.
Somewhat biased video. The Vietnamese did not attack Catholics, they fought back against French Imperialism. It just so happens that most French happen to be Catholics. The French claimed they were protecting the rights of Catholics in Indochina as an excuse for the pretext of more military intervention and the expansion of the French empire.
Wow that awesome bro I love history vietnam 🇺🇸❤️🇻🇳
Thank you for the true Vietnam war. Love Vietnam
Taiwan is not part of china
Please do not misunderstand history, HCM was not alone, he was supported and supplied with weapons by international communists, notably the Soviet Union and Communist China. Please update the documents or textbooks taught at public universities that you have consulted.
In Vietnam we call this Resistance War against America".
23:30, are u gonna fcking lie, all the vietnamese always knew that Ho Chi Minh was died by a heart attack in 2nd of september 1969, not by a disease during the war as u said🤬🤬🤬

Hi I,m in EGYPT I want to please to talk about the war of Gaza strip and Israel
How shameless Europeans describe their bloody colonialism history😂
China maintained north Korea near the 38th parallel, north viet near the 17th parallel…and prevented Vietnam from swallowing Laos and Cambodia…
SAU KO CO QUAN DAO HOANG SA VA TRUONG SA CUA VIETNAM
This is not a great video at all. It just didnt show correctly the history information, like when the US bombed North Viet. They want to take advantage from the North Viet, not pushing to sign the peace treaty. They failed by losing 34 B52 and many other aircrafts. NV planned to have a vast battle throughout the south country, also to make US retreat quickly and tired.
so france didnt just invade they were invited in and they were there for that long? wow
A technical correction: At (16:00), no country signed the Geneva Accords’ Final Declaration which called for free elections to unify North and South Vietnam. It was an unsigned document to which most of the conferees verbally agreed, but to which the United States and South Vietnam did not.
I will always be surprised of the current relationship between the US and Vietnam and how they were able to reestablish and strengthen ties in the decades following the war
