looking to buy my first skinsuit, I'm wondering if anyone here can comment on the quality of galibier. Feel free to suggest any other brands that you're enthusiastic about

  1. I have several bit of Galibier kit and side from one jersey being a bit roomier than I’d like across the chest I can’t fault any of it. In fact my favourite gloves are Galibier, while I was laying broken and bleeding on the road after someone got me with their car I insisted that the gloves were put somewhere safe so that they didn’t get lost.

  2. I absolutely love Galibier stuff they make high quality, good value kit. Some pieces aren’t the most stylish but that is reflected in the price. Almost all my winter kit is Galibier, it just works really well.

However, I wouldn’t buy a Galibier skinsuit. I assume you want it for racing, in which case I’d recommend spending a bit (or twice as much actually) and going for Nopinz. They have a lot of testing and data even on their cheapest Pro-1 suit as opposed to Galibier just saying theirs is ‘fast’.

  3. As already said by some other folks, Galiber stuff is fantastic value for money. I can’t speak to their skinsuits but I love my bibs, merino tops, jackets, gloves, and socks from them.

  4. I’ll third or fourth Galibier kit though most of my kit from them is winter stuff. Probably not as fast as Nopinz or Bioracer road suits but might have smooth sleeves so it might work well with the aero bra.
