Cycle Chausses de Quercy

The Causses de Quercy is a beautiful area of limestone plateaux and deep gorges in the Lot department of South Central France.

This ride is a family relay ride over the 65 km between the medieval town of Rocamadour and the city of Cahors. There was next to no traffic along the route through sleepy villages and steep walled gorges. The weather was perfect; such a place in England would be teeming with visitors.

The music started off as a chord sequence suggesting a melody and improvisation on tenor sax. The slightly odd twist is the 7 bar cycle.
