The spring on the small hold-open latch failed. So when I simply pull the trigger, the latch fell and engaged the detent. So when I let go of the trigger, it was still pumping gas.
I should have just shoved the nozzle into the tank and let the auto-shutoff close the gas. But instead I pulled it out, and had to pull the trigger and use my other hand to unlatch the hold open mechanism

In Taiwan , the pump sensor will be auto stop , this is just a Women. ☕
It doesn’t have a lock in every state though!
It takes like a minute to fill up a gas tank why does anyone try to get it to lock
In Australia the fuel pumps have an auto stop it detects when its full. Americans dont have that?

If it locks simply by pulling the main lever then it’s defective.
