Those cranks won’t fit to your current bottom bracket. They are 30mm and your 105 is 24mm.

Also you need a spider and/or new chainrings of course.Β

  2. If you buy this crankset, it won’t fit because it uses the 30mm DUB spindle.

The safest bet would be getting a 105 crankset with the desired crank length and replace your existing one.
    Cheapest, too, probably.

Spider and likely chainrings unless there’s a Shimano compatible spider available for that.

  4. the axle that connects the two arms varies depending on bottom bracket type. so you either need cranks that match your existing bottom bracket, or a new bottom bracket. (if you get a new bottom bracket it also has to work with your frame, which is one of a bunch of different standards)

the way that the chainrings connect to the crankset varies between various standards. so you either need cranks that match your existing chainrings, or new chainrings.

that’s why it’s simplest to get the same type of cranks as you already have.

(and if all this is new to you then it’s likely you are new enough to cycling that you will improve simply by cycling more, without changing anything, and similarly that you don’t have enough knowledge to judge whether someone saying that shorter cranks will improve anything is bullshitting or not)

I did the same swap recently.
You need the right spindle, they make a 30mm and 24mm one. 24 should fit your installed bb, if you get the 30mm one you will need a new bottom bracket.
After you figured that out you will need a spider. Rotor sells them seperatly but those dont fit Shimano rings. Stone (stonechainrings.com) makes a spider that does fit shimano rings (4 arm bcd) so far they’re the only i have found that make a suitable spider. Ordered mine through aliexpress, no troubles there.
When thats done you will need spacers to fit your cranks to your bb, these are stupidly expensive for what they are(15eur for 2x 2mm spacers), rotor have a chart on their website which should tell you what you need.

In all honesty, its a hassle. If you have a shimano crankset available in the right lengths, get those.

I’m not sure if 155 is available from Shimano, at least I haven’t come across them, but if you’re willing to try 160 (and you want to save yourself a lot of headache swapping you bb and navigating spider compatibility) I’d recommend trying some from AliEx. I just checked (but can’t post the link) and they have 160 arms for about half of what you found on amazon. I got a full crankset with chainrings from them for about the same price last year and they are legit.

  7. gonna want to be careful buying off amazon, on account of all the counterfeits. highly recommended you drag yourself to a shop that sells from a reputable vendor.Β

  8. you need chain rings (rotor has its own qring) and steel 24mm axle for the bottom bracket you currently have if you are on 105.
